In 2017, I accepted the position of Assistant Director of Education for the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District.  I lead the learning in 63 schools on the west coast of the province.

Previous to my current role, I was the Provincial Lead for Leading Technology Enabled Learning and Teaching, on Secondment to the Ontario Ministry of Education.

I have over thirty years of experience in publicly-funded post-secondary and EY-12 schools in Ontario as a teacher, administrative head, online instructor, alternative education teacher, vice-principal, and principal. From 2013 to 2015, I served as an Education Officer with the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Branch, Ontario Ministry of Education.

While in Ontario, I was the principal representative on OSAPAC, co-lead of OSSEMOOC and the Vice-President of the Educational Computing Organization of Ontario (ECOO).
I was a frequent speaker/presenter at education conferences around Ontario and throughout Canada.  I have written articles for the Canadian Education Association and K12 Blueprint, and I contribute to conversations about education on my blog, Learning About Learning.

As co-lead of OSSEMOOC, I lead collaborative learning projects and courses for education leaders, working always to encourage and enable educators to become connected digital leaders.
